An employee at the Max Stock store in Jerusalem cursed female soldiers. A customer who was at the scene documented the employee, posted on social media, and as a result, the chain announced the employee's removal from the branch.
"Following a post about an incident in one of the Max Stock branches, we wish to clarify that the chain strongly condemns any manifestation of violence, physical and verbal, made against any of the store's visitors, especially at this difficult time.
"As soon as the incident became known, an investigation was conducted and it emerged that he was an employee of an external contractor, who was immediately removed from the branch. The Max Stock chain shows and will show zero patience and tolerance for any incident of verbal or physical violence in any of its branches, and will ensure a safe environment for its loyal customers and employees."
The Israel Police said: "We view with severity any harm to IDF soldiers. The police will act to investigate the case and deal with it accordingly."
In recent weeks, since the beginning of the Iron Swords War, dozens of Israeli Arabs have been arrested on suspicion of expressing support for Hamas and the massacre it carried out on October 7 in communities near the Gaza Strip. Some of the suspects work in hospitals, the education system and food chains.
