The family of Tal Haimi, who was defined as abducted, was informed Wednesday evening that he had been murdered after being defined as abducted since the events of Black Saturday on October 7.
A statement from the family, Nir Yitzhak and the headquarters of the abductees said: "We bow our heads over the murder of the abducted Tal Haimi. A short time ago, the Haimi family was updated on Tal's murder on Black Saturday. Tal (41) is the third generation of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak and was connected with every fiber of his soul to the kibbutz and one of the pillars of the community.
"His family and friends say he was always the first to help, lend a hand, and instill calm and confidence in everyone around him. Only three months ago, Tal lost his mother, Esti, after a battle with a serious illness. Tal is survived by his wife Ella, three children - 9-year-old twins and a 6-year-old boy, his father Zohar and his sister Or. May his memory be blessed."
