For two months, Eden Zakaria, who was kidnapped from the party in Re'im (Nova), was defined as abducted. Her family turned every stone to free her, and today (Tuesday) the bitter news reached their doorstep in Rishon LeZion – Eden was murdered. On the day of the party, her partner, Ofek Kimchi, was also murdered, and the two moved in together shortly before Black Sabbath.
Eden, a smart, sharp and creative young woman, was a saleswoman with excellent interpersonal skills. The family told of a special woman who loves music, fine food and nature walks. For two months, her mother, Orin Gantz, waited to hear her voice or receive a good morning message from her. They were best friends – and now Orin was alone to deal with the pain.

Even before receiving the news, she said of her daughter: "If there's anything you can't miss about Eden, it's really her smile. She would write down every day grateful for what she had—grateful for her job, her parents, her friends. It is impossible without her in this world. It's too good."
For two months, Orin fought for every bit of information, demonstrated for the release of the hostages and wished to get her daughter back. "I woke up on Saturday morning to the sound of sirens," the mother said of that terrible Saturday morning when the last contact with Eden was made.

"The first thing I did was actually send a message on my family's WhatsApp if everyone was okay. I sent a message and Eden replied: I'm in Ofakim, on the way home, there's a heavy barrage on us. I asked if she was hiding. She didn't answer me, I called her, and then she started screaming: 'They're shooting at us, it's really close, watch the dogs.'"
