The Nicollins are 100% at home again. So far majority shareholders of the French number three in global waste management, Olivier and Laurent Nicollin have just bought the 16% of capital held by a banking pool since 2013.
At the time, BPI Investissement, BNP Paribas Développement, Soridec and Sofilaro had helped the family take over 36% of the shares previously owned by Sita. Historically, Louis, the father of Olivier and Laurent, had brought this competitor into the capital of the company in 1992 because the patriarch did not know if his children wanted to take over the company or not. However, Sita was contractually able to purchase the entire business on January 1, 2014 if the Nicollin family no longer wanted it. To regain control, "Loulou" and his family had then carried out an LBO operation providing for the exit from the banks after seven years. So it's done today.
