2022-03-21T13:33:26.813Z

A Public Interest Group, CHEMPARC intends to contribute to the economic revitalization of the industrial basin of Lacq (64) by allowing all the actors of the territory to share global orientations, strategic axes of development and priority programs of action.

Born in 2003, CHEMPARC today federates all the industrialists of the Basin, the trade unions, the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, the SMEs-SMIs of Lacq Plus, the local authorities, the Chambers of Trade and Industry of Pau and Bayonne as well as State services.

Its team, dedicated to identifying new industrial projects and supporting investors likely to develop their industrial activities in the Basin, is driven by a single objective: to welcome new industrialists to the territory of the Lacq Basin, holders of high value projects. added.

A role of territory animator

As a territory and network leader, CHEMPARC's mission is to promote a south Aquitaine chemical and industrial center of international renown by associating the Lacq industrial basin, open to the Port of Bayonne, with an engineering center more focused in Pau, but also to the various territories and players in Aquitaine.

To do this, CHEMPARC develops prospecting actions, detects new projects and supports potential investors in the development and realization of their industrial establishment.

An operational, responsive and competent network

CHEMPARC's team of prospecting and experts from the chemical industry constitutes an operational, responsive and competent network, capable of studying installation files in record time and of mobilizing the aid necessary for the realization of projects.

CHEMPARC proposes and develops prospecting actions, ensures the follow-up of prospects and provides assistance to project leaders and to the assembly of industrial files recognized as strategic for the Lacq basin.

With its perfect knowledge of all the different service providers, CHEMPARC can, if necessary, play the role of interface between the project leaders and/or the hosted companies and the different service providers.

Support projects in the field of energy transition

The industrial identity of the territory has historically developed thanks to the exploitation of the Lacq gas deposit and the chemical industry.

In order to revitalize the industrial basin, the territory is now turning to new activities linked to ecological transition and welcomes investments in the field of renewable energies and energy transition.

New opportunities for innovation and experimentation

While supporting the traditional activities of geosciences, heavy and fine chemistry, the partners of the GIP CHEMPARC have directed prospecting and project support actions towards green chemistry, new materials and biosourced products, biocontrol activities, renewable energy generation and energy storage.

These sectors, which represent an opportunity for innovation and experimentation with new technological solutions, constitute important levers for stimulating the economy and promoting the creation of new jobs.

Since 2018, CHEMPARC has notably initiated a reflection with the community of municipalities of Lacq-Orthez on the hydrogen sector.

It confirms the assets and the legitimacy of the Lacq basin to position itself on the production of green hydrogen.

Thus, many contacts have been established with industrialists interested in the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen.
