The 22,000 independent French industrial companies do not benefit from the aura of large groups, but are nonetheless an important asset for the territories.
Especially since these companies - which represent 193,000 jobs - resist crises better than the average, as highlighted by an analysis by the Asterès firm for the French Federation of Businesses and Entrepreneurs in France.
Specializing in everyday consumer goods (food, clothing, cleaning products, etc.), these SMEs and midcaps spread over 32,900 production sites in the country, have specific features that contribute to their efficiency.
Starting with a strong geographic rooting, which results in a contribution to local development.
