The tremor was recorded 14.4 kilometers south-southeast of the municipality of Guánica.
Although the tremor was located again to the southwest of the island, at sea, it was felt strongly throughout the Puerto Rican territory, where panic scenes were re-registered among the population, which is still trying to recover from the earthquake of the past Tuesday, of magnitude 6.4, which caused damage to hundreds of homes and more than 2,000 refugees.
Electricity, despite today's tremor, remained in much of the island.
Don't let your guard down
The population showed through the social networks the result of the last tremor, which includes some fallen light poles and damaged walls in some buildings.
The director of the Seismic Network, Víctor Huérfano, asked the citizens not to lower their guard against the possibility of new tremors.
The official said the activity continues and will continue for an additional time.
