Cycle path between Weyarn and Unterdarching is paved

The popular cycle path from Weyarn to Unterdarching - here a section on Weyarner Flur - is to be asphalted in the coming year.

The municipalities of Valley and Weyarn do not have to pay anything for this.

The Free State is responsible for the building authority.

Mayor Leonhard Wöhr (CSU) announced good news for everyone who likes to use the cycle path between Weyarn and Unterdarching in the municipal council: the path will be asphalted next year.

Weyarn - This was announced by the Rosenheim State Building Authority.

The asphalting was carried out as part of the renovation of state road 2073 through the Mühltal, explained Wöhr.

If this will also be uncomfortable for motorists due to the closures, upgrading the cycle path would be a "treat", said Wöhr.

The municipalities of Weyarn and Valley had planned to pave the cycle path for some time (we reported).

The part under the motorway bridge is on the Weyarn area, then it continues on the Valley area.

In negotiations with Autobahn GmbH, it has now emerged that the Free State is responsible for road construction, explains Wöhr when asked.

"So it's a dedicated state cycle path up to Darching." For Weyarn and Valley, this also means that you don't have to pay anything for the upgrade.

The state bears the costs.

This puts an end to the concerns of the Valley community.

So far, they have not wanted to tackle the asphalting because it was not clear whether the cycle path would have to be relocated when the motorway was expanded.

This does not appear to be an obstacle for the State Building Authority.
