Taking the tram or bus in Bordeaux will soon cost a little more.
With the objective of "
improving the performance of all services
" offered by Transports Bordeaux Métropole (TBM), the council of the metropolis voted this Friday in favor of a new price list, applicable from July 1, 2023.
The community explains that from September 2023, the TBM network will "
gradually evolve and acquire a new and improved offer for all users
".
Among the new features planned, the commissioning, within a few weeks, of the extension of tram line A to the airport, but also new night bus services, the increase in the frequency of tram trains or even a greater amplitude of operation on the network.
“
In total, the commercial kilometric offer will increase by almost 8%
” compared to 2022, specifies Bordeaux Métropole.

Some subscriptions will not increase
To implement these arrangements, several price increases are therefore planned, in order to increase the revenue collected by Keolis.
The 1-trip ticket, “
whose price had not increased for five years
”, will cost ten cents more (€1.80) from July 1.
The 2-trip ticket goes to €3.20 (+20 cents).
Some subscriptions will however remain at the same price (the three Pitchoun, Youth and Senior passes as well as the Mobibus).
The All Public pass will increase by 3% to reach €522 per year.
Since 2021, solidarity pricing has also been implemented in the Bordeaux conurbation and will continue to be so.
A device that "
is a real success
".
Depending on the family quotient of the CAF, some residents receive a discount ranging from 30 to 100% of the rates offered by TBM, to "
allow the most modest households to move more easily in the metropolis
".
