scammer. Local YouTuber Kim Wu explained that it was a scam that the scammer used to make hundreds of dollars thanks to the advertisements. "They use the popularity of the World Cup to guarantee live broadcasts, even if the broadcast does not contain the content that the viewers wanted," he explained.

Because of the poor quality of the broadcast, it takes time for viewers to realize that they are watching FIFA content and not a poor quality broadcast of a World Cup match. Hoi Hwang, who lives in the capital Hanoi, was one of those viewers who were fooled and testified that it "takes a few minutes" to realize that the content is fake.

"Until I saw the reactions live and the close-ups of the players' faces, I didn't realize I was watching replays of a FIFA 2023 game."
