The homicide suspect, identified by investigators, was arrested Monday at the Gare de Lyon in Paris, "while he had fled with his companion and his child," said the prosecutor of Draguignan , Guy Bouchet, in a press release.

This revealed that around 5:30 am, a vehicle came up to the victim, before firing twice, fatally hitting her in the chest.
Thanks to the registration plate reading, the gendarmes then managed to geolocate the car in the parking lot of the Aix-en-Provence TGV station.
The couple were taken into custody and a judicial investigation should be opened within the next 48 hours.
