The combined system develops a maximum power of 245 hp (180 kW) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The electric range is over 60 km with an energy consumption of 12.4 kWh while the combined range is 745 km.

To be able to move around the city deliberately in E-Mode at the end of a long journey, Volkswagen has reconfigured the operating modes of the hybrid system: E-Mode which provides for driving exclusively in electric and Hybrid mode, automatic or manual switching between the engine electric and internal combustion engine.

The selection of the driving profile, on the other hand, includes: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Individual.

In Sport mode, parameters such as engine characteristics, engine sound, steering characteristics or cruise control with automatic distance adjustment (ACC) have a particularly dynamic configuration.

In Eco mode, all systems,

including the air conditioning system, they operate with the greatest possible energy saving, while the Comfort mode is geared towards maximum comfort.

In Individual mode, all parameters can be set manually.


    The Golf GTE's exterior features 17-inch light-alloy wheels, specific front, embossed rear diffuser, distinctive roof spoiler, model-specific logos, red brake calipers and oversized sills.

The standard LED headlights draw a captivating transversal graphic element.

Above, towards the bonnet, there is a thin line that traces the entire width of the front and is presented in different colors: red in the case of the GTI, blue for the GTE.

The rear, on the other hand, is particularly vigorous to the advantage of these sporty declinations which are equipped with LED rear lights as standard.


    Inside, the silver-colored three-double-spoke sports steering wheel and hollowed-out Wolfsburg symbol, the GTI sports seats with Scottish motif (checkered pattern) and black side areas.


    The Golf GTE is equipped as standard with 10.0-inch digital instrumentation (Digital Cockpit Pro), 10.0-inch infotainment display and multifunction steering wheel.

With the Digital Cockpit Pro, the driver can choose between three different basic settings using the View button on the steering wheel.

By acting on the arrows in the right spoke of the multifunction steering wheel and on the OK field, positioned centrally in this area, to confirm the return functions, the driver can enter various generic and specific indications of the hybrid system within the three basic instruments of the Digital Cockpit Pro (left, center, right), such as the battery charge status as a percentage or the remaining range according to the TSI and the electric motor.
