According to data relating to the coronavirus, posted online by the national agency Public Health France, there have been in the last 24 hours seven new deaths linked to Covid-19 in French hospitals. The total number of deaths due to the virus, since the start of the epidemic in March, now reaches 29,640 victims, according to the latest figures sent by the organization.
These figures do not take into account the latest deaths in nursing homes and medico-social centers, which will be updated on June 23.
715 people in intensive care
To date, 9,823 patients are still treated in French hospitals. The number of patients suffering from a severe form of the disease continues to decline in intensive care units, where 715 of them remain hospitalized.
In addition, since the start of the epidemic, Santé Publique France has identified a new center of contamination in France, among the 81 already counted. Finally, Mayotte and Guyana remain considered to be "in a situation of high vulnerability", reports Public Health France.
