This Thursday, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) deplores 28 new deaths from Covid-19 disease in 24 hours at the hospital. In all, at least 29,603 people have died from SARS-CoV-2 infection since the epidemic began in the country in March.

The death toll in nursing homes and other medico-social establishments will be updated on June 23 by Public Health France. The latest data recorded Tuesday, June 16, reported 10,457 deaths in these establishments.

752 people in intensive care

In the intensive care unit, the number of patients continues to fall, with 752 people hospitalized and a balance once again negative (–20 compared to the previous day). 15 new patients were however admitted to these services dedicated to the most serious cases since Wednesday.

A total of 10,125 patients are still hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 and 136 new admissions were recorded in 24 hours. Finally, since the start of the epidemic, 103,654 people have passed through the hospital for contamination with the new coronavirus. Of these patients, 73,887 returned home.
