The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 801 new infections and 43 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry's spokesperson, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement that the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has so far reached 267,972, and the total deaths have reached 15,352.
Mujahid indicated that 733 people recovered from infection with the virus have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total of those recovered to 19,604 people to date.
