"A dozen police officers were leaning over a body right next to the Canal de Saint-Denis. He looked like he had been pulled out of the water. It was at the mobile bridge near the Franc-Moisin district, "says a witness who was on site, around 8:45 this morning.
The judicial police officers (OPJ) were mandated on the spot to make the findings and determine the circumstances of the tragedy. Although the cause of death is not known for the moment, a source close to the file reveals that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, which suggests that the corpse had been in the water for a few days. An investigation has been conducted. At the time of writing, the victim had not yet been identified.
