The 16-year-old scooter who had wounded a gendarme while trying to escape a control, Friday around 19h, in Legé, south of Nantes, was arrested and placed in custody this Monday morning, says the gendarmerie of Loire-Atlantique to the Figaro.
On June 23, the gendarmes of Rezé had gone to this commune bordering the Vendée, after being called for a scooter theft in front of a supermarket. On the way, they come across a young individual without a helmet. They ask him to stop. He refused. To escape control, the teenager deliberately hit a gendarme who was trying to arrest him before fleeing. The soldier was wounded in the shoulder and knee. He has a temporary incapacity for work of 8 days.

Unfavourably known
The young man was arrested in Touvois, about ten kilometers from the place where the refusal to comply took place. Unfavourably known to the services, he was able to be identified by the police because he was not wearing a helmet and had his face uncovered.
