Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the start of the Cabinet meeting at the Kirya in Tel Aviv, read a letter from a heroic forum in which dozens of family members of those who fell in battle are members. In the letter, the families demand that the government not stop the war until the goal of toppling Hamas is achieved. "The nation is strong and its spirit is strong, the civilians and heroic soldiers are determined to achieve total victory - until the goals are completed, we will not be able to sit still," the families wrote.

"The government will receive a security review today, and before that I want to read to you a letter I received this morning from dozens of families of our heroic fallen," Netanyahu began the meeting. "They write: 'The people are strong and their spirit is strong. The heroic civilians and soldiers are determined to achieve total victory. You have a mandate to fight, you have no mandate to stop in the middle. This is the will of the fallen and it is our duty for the sake of life.'
"I would like to reply to the dear families: The will of the fallen is what guides us. We will fight to the end. We will achieve all our goals - the elimination of Hamas, the release of all our abductees and a promise that Gaza will not become a center of terror and incitement against the State of Israel and attacks against the State of Israel. We will continue to fight to the end for the fallen and for the promise of our lives here in the Land of Israel."
