The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform confirmed that the decision to issue the agricultural register aims at organizing agricultural work and providing facilities to its employees, individuals and companies to export, transport, market or display their products in specialized exhibitions.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ahmed Kadish, told SANA that the agricultural register is the first of its kind in Syria and comes after the licensing process and everyone is entitled to obtain it, but it is not binding, pointing out that one of the conditions for obtaining an agricultural license issued by the Ministry of Agriculture To the Farmers' Union or the Federation of Agricultural Chambers.
According to Kadish, this register is somewhat similar to the commercial register and there are no taxes or fees when obtained from all concerned parties except the price of stamps placed on it, pointing out that it is under publication and will be granted in about 15 days after publication in the official gazette and circulate its instructions On the provinces.
Dr. Ahmed Diab, Director of Agricultural Economics at the Ministry of Agriculture, explained that the agricultural register is an important step to reorganize and organize agricultural activities and establish an accurate and integrated database for the agricultural sector in both plant and animal sectors, thus providing detailed and identifying data on the holders and workers in this sector.
Diab pointed out that the Register contributes to support the mechanism of developing policies, legislation and agricultural development plans through the data and statistics provided by and are constantly updated.
