The Supreme Investment Council decided, during its meeting today, headed by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, to expedite the necessary procedures to complete the procedural manuals and executive instructions for the new Investment Law No. To simplify the procedures for any investment project.

In its first meeting after the issuance of the new investment law, the Council confirmed the acceptance of all applications submitted by investors to the Syrian Investment Authority in all investment fields and their direct registration, and authorized the Authority to grant a license to investment projects after submitting them to the Supreme Investment Council within 15 days for approval and taking the necessary action pending the completion of the instructions. The Supreme Investment Council discussed the procedures and decisions to be taken to ensure the continuity of investment projects and not stop any of them, as Eng. During the meeting, it was emphasized to deal with flexibility and facilitate procedures related to investor requests and to provide incentives for investments located within cities and industrial zones.
