China today successfully launched the "Tianzhu Tu" spacecraft to meet with the "Tianhe" main space station unit, in the second of a series of missions required to complete the country's first permanent space station.

The Xinhua news agency quoted the Chinese space agency as saying, "The (Long March Seven Wai 3) missile carrying (Tianzhu Tu) was launched from the Wenchang spacecraft launch site on the coast of the southern province of Hainan Island."

On the 29th of last month, China launched the "Long March Five PY2" missile carrying the "Tianhe" unit from the Wenchang spacecraft launch site in Hainan.
