, the scene took place in a store in Annemasse (Haute-Savoie).

Carrefour reacted by condemning

"very strongly"

these

"unacceptable [...] racist remarks"

and by announcing its intention to file a complaint.

A few days after the Cergy affair

Still on Twitter, Rami Baitieh, the boss of Carrefour France, announced that he had called the cashier, who is called Mamé, to express his support and that of the group.

"I will never tolerate such remarks being made in our stores,"

he insisted.

This episode comes just a few days after the Cergy controversy. In front of a restaurant, a man violently attacked a delivery man, then uttered racist insults towards a local woman who was filming him from her window. He will be tried on July 8 and has been remanded in custody in the meantime.
