Health Minister Moshe Arbel addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday afternoon and claimed that providing medical treatment to terrorists from the terrorist attack in Israeli hospitals creates difficulties for the health system. Arbel's comments follow a report in Israel Hayom that the IDF transferred some of the wounded terrorists to Israeli hospitals, in some cases in close proximity to Israeli wounded, while in some hospitals security was even attached to them due to reports of intentions to lynch them.

In a letter to Netanyahu, Arbel wrote that "since the beginning of the fighting, the issue of treating accursed and despicable Hamas terrorists in public hospitals has placed tremendous difficulty on the lung system. In these difficult times, the health system must be fully persistent in treating the victims of the criminal massacre, IDF soldiers and being prepared for what is to come."

The Health Minister added: "The task of securing and dealing with the accursed and despicable terrorists within the public health system significantly undermines these efforts and therefore, under my guidance, the public health system will not deal with them. The handling of the issue must be entrusted to the IDF or the Prison Service, and of course the Ministry of Health is ready and prepared to assist these bodies, as needed."

The minister concluded his remarks by demanding that the prime minister implement this directive among all the bodies dealing with the issue.
