The first moment I saw the blue and white flag flying on the Austrian Foreign Ministry building, I was heartbroken. At last, the world recognizes that Israel is right. What's more encouraging than that? But as the global trend spread, to EU offices in Brussels and skyscrapers in New York, the pleasant feeling of support turned into a bad feeling, to the point of nausea. The main crust came to me when the columns of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin were illuminated in blue and white and the Israeli flag was projected on it. That's how it is, all over the world they love us dead, beaten and humiliated. This is especially outstanding for the Germans, who carry with them the anguish of conscience of a dark history.
Surprisingly, those elements from Germany and the European Union, who on a daily basis send billions to strengthen Gaza and the Palestinian Authority, have now remembered to wrap themselves in blue and white. So no, thank you. No need for your crocodile tears. Until you immediately stop funding and encouraging terrorism, which flows through dozens of NGOs and government foundations and also through the European Union, do not dare wave the Israeli flag. You do not deserve to carry our flag proudly.
Moreover, we all know that as soon as Israel fights back, and Gaza and its terrorists and civilians are covered in the blood of the dead, you will be the first to condemn Israel. Call for a ceasefire, for dialogue. As if there is something to talk to merciless murderers who kidnap old people, women and children. As if there is something to negotiate with terrorists who can spray helpless people, parents over their children.
Meanwhile, Israel is delaying in restoring the war. She is still in the shock and defensive phase. Its proactive actions more or less amount to air force attacks on symbols of government in Gaza, as the IDF Spokesperson himself defined it. It's as if we're playing a flag game here, and the whole goal is just to steal the symbol of the opposing team. The IDF is still fighting symbols instead of eliminating the enemy's own leaders and fighters, instead of toppling the Hamas regime and immediately occupying the Gaza Strip.
Apart from the fundamental error, there is also an explanatory error. The window of time in which the world will allow Israel to strike back at Gaza is particularly narrow. As the distance between a Hamas attack on Israel and an Israeli counterattack grows, Israel misses the international window of opportunity.

But Israel must not be moved by the gestures of encouragement and support, as well as the condemnations that will come. And they will come. Give me condemnations from all over the world for Israeli victories, and zero flags of solidarity with military failures and hundreds of fresh graves. "A people alone will dwell and gentiles will not be considerate," such are we in good and evil, joy and terror. That's how we should be, or must be, because that's how we're destined.
Unfortunately, however, Israel's leaders cannot help but take the opinion of the international community into account. It is this same defeatist concept that led Israel to agree for decades to the establishment of a terrorist kingdom next door to Israel. It must be painfully and honestly admitted that the failure was made mainly under right-wing governments, which took the time between rounds and allowed Gaza to grow stronger to the point of an existential threat to Israel. Why? Because we were afraid of being portrayed badly in the world, we were afraid of condemnations at the UN and trials in The Hague. We escaped from the Gaza swamp to be beautiful. How beautiful we are now. Beautiful and dead.
