Beneath the clanking of grapeshot, the din of explosions or the deafening rumble of tanks, this cry resounds through Ukraine.

Profession of faith by soldiers at the front and rallying cry of civilians against the Russian invader.

It punctuates the many scenes of bravery of which the world has become, in recent weeks, the helpless witness.

Such

a babushka

("grandmother") who hands sunflower seeds to a Russian soldier, telling him that flowers will grow on his grave.

Such unarmed civilians interposing themselves in front of armored vehicles or clearing mines by hand.

All these anonymous people who dig trenches in their neighborhood, donate their blood to the hospital, supply their neighbors… And these thousands of volunteers enlisted in territorial defence, so numerous that the logistics cannot keep up.
