The Economics Committee approved the proposal that came up following complaints from people with disabilities who claimed that other disabled people were parked in the reserved parking lot

A disabled person who carries a disabled person who will park in a disabled parking lot registered in the name of another person - will be fined NIS 1,000.

This was confirmed today (Wednesday) by the Economics Committee, which discussed a proposal to amend the traffic regulations.

To date, the fine for parking in a disabled parking lot has been one thousand shekels only for those who do not carry a disabled card.

Disabled people, however, complained that those with a disability card were parked in a parking lot reserved only for them, and that it was not defined as public parking but private, and marked with the number of the vehicle on a sign.

Starting in a few more days, enforcement will be carried out on a vehicle bearing a disabled badge - the camp in a disabled parking lot.

The amendment will allow, as stated, to enforce the ban and impose a fine of 1,000 shekels.

MK Shirley Pinto welcomed the amendment, saying it happened following a query she submitted to the Secretary of Homeland Security a few months ago, "after a request I received from a disabled person who was disabled after Hannah in his reserved parking lot."

MK Boaz Toporovsky asked to make sure the police enforce the regulation, which will take effect in the coming days. Start enforcing, "Zilber said.
