Captain (res.) Harel Sharvit is now being laid to rest at Mount Herzl Cemetery in Jerusalem. Many came to accompany him after he fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sharvit, 33, from Kochav Yaakov, was a combat officer in Battalion 7008 of the Half Fire Formation. Before falling in battle, he was filmed planting a tree on Gaza soil and telling the camera: "For the resurrection of the people of Israel."
