Permitted for publication:Sergeant Major (res.) Amichai Israel Yehoshua Oster, 24, from Karnei Shomron, a soldier in Battalion 7020, the Sharon Brigade (5), fell in battle in northern Gaza, according to a report released Monday. He is survived by his parents, a brother, and three sisters.
Yigal Lahav, head of the Karnei Shomron Council, eulogized him: "The most difficult trial, and unfortunately here at home. When you want to talk about amazing, Zionist, moral youth who will abandon everything and run to fire for the defense of the land, they talk about young people like Amichai. Unfortunately, about two hours ago, we notified the Oster family with IDF representatives of his loss in battle and the loss they hold dearest."
