Staff Sergeant (Res.) Elisha Jonathan Luber z"l, from Yitzhar in Samaria, is laid to rest at this hour (Wednesday) at Mount Herzl Cemetery in Jerusalem.
Staff Sgt. Elisha Yehonatan was killed yesterday in an encounter with terrorists. Elisha Jonathan grew up in the settlement of Beit El in Binyamin. He is survived by his pregnant wife, a 10-month-old baby, parents and eight siblings. Elisha Yehonatan was a youth coordinator and Avrach at the Shepherd of Israel Yeshiva in Yitzhar, and also worked in the Samaria Regional Council.
He is the third grandson to fall to Rabbi Shmuel Yaniv in the past year, after the murder of brothers Hillel Weigel Yaniv in an attack in Huwara in February.
His father, Hagai Louvre, founder of the Aspaklaria Theater, wrote after learning of his son's death: "We embrace the entire nation of Israel and ask - please, one day of unity for the elevation of its soul. Please do not write or broadcast anything of controversy. Speak well and highlight the good in decision makers and in our wonderful people that Jonathan was proud to fight for."
