The New Year's festivities began tonight (Sunday to Monday) in the shadow of an iron sword war and a barrage of rockets at the center's communities. This year as well, Magen David Adom was on high alert to treat casualties during the festivities, which treated hundreds of people and received medical treatment.

Forty-three people were injured in road accidents, including one in serious condition, three in moderate condition and 43 in light condition. Seven people were injured in violent incidents, one of them in moderate condition and six in light condition. About 39 teenagers and adults were affected by alcohol consumption, all in mild condition.
During the first night of the new year, 11 women were rushed to various hospitals across the country in ambulances and intensive care vehicles. The first baby of 2024 was delivered by Magen David Adom's mobile intensive care team in Jerusalem at 03:34.
