During operations on New Year's Eve, 21 police officers were injured in North Rhine-Westphalia. That was significantly less than a year ago, when 43 officers were injured. The emergency services were injured, for example, by pyrotechnics, as reported by the State Office for Central Police Services in Duisburg on Monday in a preliminary balance.
