In Nürtingen, Baden-Württemberg (Neckarhausen), Johanna Wimmer, Julia Heß and Sarah Eicher (12 to 14 years) fought for the necessary points to qualify for the championships in April in Fürth. The three young jumpers Julia Eicher, Klara Seeger and Luisa Wimmer (9 to 11 years) also started, but you cannot qualify for a competition at the federal level in this age group.
At the beginning of the strenuous competition day, the speed of the jumpers was important in “30 seconds speed”. With 160 jumps and personal best, Hess showed her skills. This was followed by an endurance discipline in which it was important to complete as many speed jumps as possible in three minutes. All Crazy Skippies shone here with top values - Seeger and Heß even achieved an excellent 744 points. Next up was the so-called freestyle. In this discipline, the athletes have to present a rehearsed jump sequence that is judged by a judge regarding the level of difficulty and creativity of the choreography. Here too, Hess was able to secure the best rating of the Lengdorfer Group with 388 points. With the young jumpers Luisa Wimmer took the lead with an almost perfect freestyle and 352 points.
The older girls also took part in the “30 seconds double under” frame competition, where the rope had to be swung twice under their feet during a jump. With 78 double under, Johanna Wimmer was delighted to qualify for the federal final in this category. Heß also achieved the necessary points for the federal final in the overall classification. This means that she can compete against the German competition in freestyle as well as in the two speed disciplines over 30 and 180 seconds.
