Willingen (dpa) - Ski jumper Stephan Leyhe celebrated the first individual World Cup victory of his career at the Home World Cup in Willingen.
The 28-year-old local hero jumped 139.5 and 144.5 meters in the Hessian Upland and won ahead of the Norwegian Marius Lindvik and Kamil Stoch from Poland. Leyhe is also in the lead in the Willingen Five classification, endowed with 25,000 euros.
Karl Geiger was the second best German in fifth place. Constantin Schmid as 21st, Pius Paschke in 24th and Markus Eisenbichler, who was 26th, also won World Cup points. Richard Freitag retired after the first round.
