Milan (AP) - Inter Milan used the blunder of Juventus freezing and took the lead in Serie A after a win in the local derby.
A day after the surprising 1-2 defeat of the Italian football champions, Inter won 4-2 (0-2) against city rivals AC Milan after a 2-2 deficit.
Milan took the lead in the San Siro from former Frankfurt Ante Rebic in the 40th minute after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's header. The 38-year-old Swede then headed the 2-0 win himself (45. + 1). But Inter turned the game within 19 minutes after the break - thanks to goals from Marcelo Brozovic (51.), Matias Vecino (53.) and Stefan de Vrij (70.). Romelu Lukaku scored to the final score (90. + 3). Due to the better goal difference, Milan are now ahead of defending champion Juventus (both 54 points).
