Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa) - Ski racer Viktoria Rebensburg crashed in the Super-G of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
One day after her downhill victory, the 30-year-old from Kreuth tilted her skis in the section "Hell" after a swing while turning left on the icy Kandahar, so that her legs were torn apart, she fell and slid into the safety fence.
After some marshals helped her, Rebensburg drove down to the finish area alone, but lifted her left leg so as not to strain it. The first reports said that she had struck her left knee on a pole. However, it did not look like a serious ligament injury. At first there was no exact diagnosis.
