The Peißenberg "ice hackers" have successfully returned from the one-week break. The top game of the relegation round against the previously unbeaten ESC Geretsried was clearly won by the TSV.
Peißenberg - Shortly before the end he picked a sharp shot with his catch hand from the corner. That was not the only strong action by "ice chopper" goalkeeper Korbinian Sertl. Two days after his 27th birthday, the goalkeeper of TSV Peißenberg celebrated a shut-out after a strong performance in the 3-0 (1-0, 1-0, 1-0) home win against River Rats Geretsried.
TSV coach Simon Mooslechner did not want to emphasize the actions of his keepers, who had been voted goalkeeper of the month in the Bayernliga twice in a row: "This is his job." Instead, he focused on the whole team: "That was one Success of the whole team. "Compliments that was good, except for a few minutes," said Mooslechner. Geretsried's coach Sebastian Wanner, whose team had won 8-3 at the last appearance in Peißenberg, proved to be a fair loser: "The victory is completely okay, we never found the game and were mostly on the defensive."

The "ice hackers" started the game with a swing. Moritz Birkner (2nd) and Markus Andrä (3rd) saw the first good opportunities. After another great chance from Valentin Hörndl (11th), the same player prepared the well-deserved opening goal of the Peißenberger. A well-performed attack of the newly formed series with Hörndl, Florian Höfler and Tobias Estermaier ennobled the latter with the 1-0 (14th). In the final phase of the opening round, the home side then afforded some negligence. Geretsried's Martin Köhler (19th) came up with a chance of equalization, but Sertl thwarted it.
In the middle section, it initially went back and forth. Both goalkeepers were able to honor them again and again. Lukas Novacek (29th) and Estermaier (32nd) awarded the best opportunities for the "ice hackers", who this time only played with three rows. The next hit was then outnumbered. The Peißenberger did not let Geretsrieder develop in their power play - and instead used a counterattack to 2: 0 (33.); Goal scorer was Hörndl. Before the last change, both teams had further major opportunities.
In the final round, the guests pushed for the connection. The Peißenberg, however, remained stable and could rely on Sertl. With a good attack from the third row (46th) and a chance from Max Malzatzki (52nd) the decision was in the air. Shortly afterwards, the home side got double outnumbered after an unnecessary foul by Dominik Ebentheuer. With two more men on the ice the Geretsrieder didn't know how to start. On the other hand, Hörndl (55.) made it better, who, when the TSV was four again, made the decision with his second undershot goal.
