Dallas (dpa) - Returnee Luka Doncic has led the Dallas Mavericks in the North American professional basketball league NBA to a convincing victory before the All-Star weekend. The Mavericks won 130: 111 (63:52) against the Sacramento Kings.
Doncic, who will debut in his all-star game in his second season, led the team after a seven-game break due to an ankle injury with 33 points, twelve rebounds and eight assists. The Slovenian was supported above all by the strong Latvian Kristaps Porzingis, who contributed 27 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. The German international Maxi Kleber got six points, a rebound and two blocks from the bank in 18 minutes.
The Washington Wizards with Isaac Bonga and Moritz Wagner have continued their good run and have now won five of the last seven games. At the New York Knicks, the wizards won 114: 96 (46:50) and continue to approach the playoff places. Bonga had a good game with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals and blocks, while Wagner remained pale with six points and four rebounds and had to end the game early after his second technical foul at the beginning of the closing quarter.
The Toronto Raptors' winning streak ended. At Brooklyn Nets, the current champion lost 91: 101 (40:52) after 15 wins in a row - despite a triple double by All Star Kyle Lowry (twelve points, eleven rebounds, twelve assists).
