The poster for the 2020 edition of the Internationaux de France highlights the atypical atmosphere of the Simonne-Mathieu court, inaugurated last year in the heart of the Serres d'Auteuil.

An unchanging ritual that takes place in an exotic, even tropical setting and an omnipresence of plants, highlighted last year with the inauguration of the sumptuous Simonne-Mathieu court, planted in the heart of the greenhouses of Auteuil and delimited by the glass roofs home to a botanical garden. “I immediately liked the authentic atmosphere that emanated from its graphics. The fact of having captured the objects that make up the soul of the tournament. But I immediately fell in love with the “earthlings” project. This simple and repeated gesture on all clay courts is undoubtedly the one that most characterizes the identity of our tournament, and beyond the "earthlings", all the people who make it successful. Seeing the court in a plant universe magnifies our vision of the Roland-Garros Stadium. This is undoubtedly what is called the artistic gaze, ”enthuses Bernard Giudicelli, President of the French Tennis Federation.

Each year for 40 years, the FFT has given carte blanche to an artist to create the #RolandGarros poster.
This year, she made the bold choice to entrust her production to a talented young artist who knew how to capture and transpose the soul of the tournament: Pierre Seinturier. pic.twitter.com/wOvB9Lth0S
