Like many European countries, Germany is not immune to the spread of the coronavirus. Monday, 157 cases were diagnosed across the Rhine. Even if no restrictions were imposed in the Bundesliga stadiums last weekend, psychosis sometimes settles in public places.
Last Sunday, about twenty Japanese tourists were excluded from a sector of the Red Bull Arena a few minutes after the kick-off of the meeting between Red Bull Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen because they were potentially carriers of the Covid virus -19. The tourists were led outside the enclosure by a dozen members of security when they had been able to access their seats like anyone else.
The club wants to invite Japanese tourists to a meeting
The German club wanted to apologize for this mistake. "Unfortunately, in a context of great uncertainty surrounding this question (...) an error was made from our part," regrets the club in a press release. The club recalls that it had asked its stewards to "intensify the controls" of "certain groups because of a potential risk". RB Leipzig specifies that it is trying to contact these Japanese spectators, about twenty according to the press, to invite them for the next match of its team.
