At the annual general meeting on Sunday, chairman Gökhan Tam was wildly determined to expand the club's small gym next to the sports home from 2021.
With 417 members, FC Mintraching has grown slightly in the past twelve months. It suggests that the footballers with currently 130 members will be overtaken in the medium term in these statistics. Because the health sports division is becoming increasingly popular and now has 103 members - and the trend is rising. Club treasurer and table tennis department manager Jochen Schmitt calculated that 272 members practice indoor sports. And he reported that, for example, there was a hobby table tennis group in the context of health sports, with five plates for up to 30 people in the room. The lack of space in the small club hall is getting bigger.
FC Mintraching wants to expand small gym
Gökhan Tam emphasized that the club was not idle. The chairman had already had initial talks with the local construction experts Siegfried Burglechner and Alfred Oberlader. The next step would be to create a plan for what this extension should look like and what it would cost. In addition, Tam made it clear that the healthy club could afford the cultivation, since grants from the community to the Bavarian State Sports Association were also to be expected.
Gökhan Tam explained that the large wall of the building should not be changed to the west and that the sports hall could only be enlarged parallel to the terrace to the south to the football field. That would be an extension of a good nine meters. The expansion of the sports area is not just an idea, but a specific objective: “We will take care of it and we will do it. We don't want to expand the hall, we will expand it. "

The first soccer team of FC Mintraching was also discussed. Gökhan Tam is also active in the local boys' club - and wants to get the young men out there to make a soccer comeback. Some of them hung up their shoes after playing in the B-youth with Massenhausen and Unterbruck. The FCM boss wants to bring Mintraching footballers back to the men's team in the medium term, which currently ranks in the middle of the B-Class 5. There was also criticism that the players would go straight home after football - some members miss the club life from before. The chairman emphasized that identification with the club had to grow, he would work on it.
Long-standing members were also honored at the annual general meeting: Dieter Klein, who has been a member of FC Mintraching for 50 years, was at the top. Manuela Lommer-Schmidt, Willibald Funk (both 30 years), Manfred Bauer, Christian Ebertz, Tobias Fütterer, Tobias Koren, Maximilian Pflügler, Max Würzinger (every 25 years), Andrea Kaehs, Lucas Freese, Franz Halteberger, Karsten Witt were also honored (every 20 years), Fabio Mayer (15 years), Brigitte Beer, Sabrina Beer, Kurt Herold, Johann Mair, Marcel Menshausen, Giancarlo Oppeneder and Dominik Zahel (every ten years).
