Hapoel Haifa was eliminated tonight (Tuesday) from the National Cup after a 2-0 home defeat to Bnei Yehuda. The Reds reached the top playoffs after qualifying, but tonight they looked bad and will now concentrate in the league.
If not enough of a loss, two players were injured and are in great doubt for Saturday's game against Maccabi TA. Serbian brake Nicola Golan was snapped in knee after Allison dos Santos entrance. The midfielder Sa'ir Padida was also cut in the knee and replaced in the first half.
"This is our worst game of the season," losing coach Haim Silves admitted, "I have no explanation for that. It is not a player or two, from the beginning, I felt that the energies we brought in the last two or three months were not. That Bnei Yehuda is the best team in the game and they deserved to rise. Well done to them. "

Silves added: "I wasn't sharp, not a good attitude. The funny thing is that we were still in the game, but we didn't win forever. Everyone wanted to win but we were bad. I apologize for what we looked like for everyone in Hapoel Haifa."
