If the season were over now, the TSV Jetzendorf footballers would relegate to the district league after a year in the Landesliga. They don't want that. "We have twelve relegation finals ahead of us," said player coach Alexander Schäffler before the home game against the bottom of the SpVgg Kaufbeuren team.
However, Schäffler does not want to know about a compulsory victory. "We are not the favorite in any game, we do not have to win," explains the TSV player coach. Then he adds: "But we want to stay in the league and for that we have to win against Kaufbeuren - especially at home." They got one of their eight points last autumn in their home game against TSV Jetzendorf. Schäffler recalls: “We failed because of ourselves. We made individual mistakes that we absolutely have to put an end to. ”TSV were 1: 2 behind before Ben Geuenich secured the 2: 2 goal with his first goal of the season. That Geuenich will be missing in the second leg, he suffered an ankle ligament tear in the penultimate test against Manching (5-0).
“Ben would have missed two games anyway due to a red ban, but now he is out longer. It's bitter, ”said Schäffler. Wlad Beiz also injured his ankle against Manching, but his ligament did not break. "It is only a strong stretch, but a use on Sunday is unlikely," says Schäffler. Fabian Busl is missing due to a two-week stay abroad. All other players are fit - and ready for Kaufbeuren.
“16, 17 players are available. I was very happy with the preparation. Apart from the two injuries, everything went as I had imagined, ”said Schäffler. The training camp in Miesbach gave a boost, where the green-whites had honed their shape for four days and strengthened the team structure.
The winter accesses Max Kreitmair (ASV Dachau), Dominik Liebl (SV Günding) and Daniel Stampfl (most recently FC Geroldsbach) attested that the integration was easy. “At Max we are happy that he is back home. He is fast, has train to the gate and is able to take responsibility, ”says Schäffler. And further: “Dominik did a great job. He knew a few players, can be used flexibly and is at eye level. And Daniel was injured, but the whole club is happy that he is back. "
Schäffler left it open whether one of the entrances against Kaufbeuren will be in the starting XI. But he announced one thing: "We will try to appear differently in the last games than before the winter break: We want to be more active, trust ourselves more and take fate into our own hands."
