Duesseldorf (dpa) - Jan-Lennard Struff has led the German tennis men in the Davis Cup qualifier against Belarus.
The 29-year-old Warsteiner prevailed in Düsseldorf in the first individual against Ilja Iwaschka with 6: 4, 6: 4 and, as expected, scored the first point for the German team. It took Struff 1:19 hours to succeed.
In the second individual, Davis Cup veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber and Belarusian number one Egor Gerassimow face each other. The decision will then be made on Saturday. The winner of the match qualifies for the final round in Madrid from November 23 to 29.
