The "ice hackers" of TSV Peißenberg have balanced in the pre-play-off series. In the home game on Sunday, the spectators saw a furious initial phase - and a late winning goal.
Peißenberg - Waldkraiburgs Josef Straka pulled off again, but the shot from the center line a few seconds before the end was only a desperate act. Peißenberg's goalkeeper Korbinian Sertl was not to be scared by this, he snapped the disk effortlessly. And then the “ice hackers” were allowed to cheer. With a 4: 3 (3: 2, 0: 0, 1: 1) home win on Sunday, the Peißenbergers managed to equalize 1-1 in the Bayern League pre-play-off series against EHC Waldkraiburg. On Friday evening, Peißenberg had lost 4-6 away.
The decision on who will move into the play-offs for the Oberliga is now made on Tuesday (8 p.m.) in Waldkraiburg. "Ice hackers" coach Simon Mooslechner was - at least on the outside - calmly: "We have nothing to lose." The coach was satisfied with yesterday's performance: "It worked out. The team adhered to the route. "Unlike the defeat on Friday," we made no blatant mistakes ".

The first third was characterized by numerous penalties. They used both teams to score - four goals were scored within the first six minutes. Only Waldkraiburg's Tomas Rousek outnumbered (2.), a little later Brandon Morley was in the power play with the 1-1 (4.) Just 45 seconds later Maximilian Malzatzki shot on goal, EHC goalkeeper Kevin Yeingst let the puck unfortunate into the goal - Peißenberg led 2-1. The joy did not last too long: Mathias Jeske scored the 2: 2 (6th) with a Schlenzer. Martin Lidl brought the hosts three times ahead with a shot from the blue line 3-2 (10th).
In the middle third, the “ice choppers” were clearly on the trigger. Morley narrowly failed with a "peasant trick" (25th). Immediately afterwards - after a strong Morley action - everyone was already cheering on the supposed fourth goal. The referees decided on Bully (25) after consultation. "I didn't see it exactly, I can't say anything about the situation," said Mooslechner. Slowly the guests came back, TSV goalkeeper Sertl prevented the equalization with a top parade (32nd).

In the final third, an exciting and brisk back and forth developed. EHC player Michael Trox completed a counterattack with the 3: 3 (51.). The "ice hackers" fired on the EHC gate. Valentin Hörndl (53.), Lukas Novacek (55.) and Martin Andrä (56.) narrowly failed. Novacek finally used great Hörndl preparatory work for the acclaimed 4: 3 (57th). Waldkraiburg then weakened himself through several penalties - the important home win was perfect.
The Peißenberg lost the game on Friday evening in Waldkraiburg "with a lot of bad luck and their own fault," said "ice hackers" spokesman Andreas Schugg. After a strong start and 1: 0 by Dominik Ebentheuer (3rd) the "Löwen" met three times (6th, 7th, 14th). Bitter: The goals for 1: 2 and 1: 3 conceded the "ice hackers" in majority. Even before the third break, Markus Andrä (16.) and again Ebentheuer (20.) made it 2: 3 and 3: 3. In the middle third there was no real game flow. Only the EHC scored in the goal (27th). Waldkraiburg's Patrick Zimmermann received a match penalty (35.), from which the guests could not capitalize. EHC player Straka failed with a penalty. In the final third Waldkraiburg scored 5: 3 (46.), a little later Brandon Morley shortened to 4: 5 (49.). The hosts made everything clear with an empty net goal (60th).
