Reuters reported that the Bavarian team performed modestly before Thomas Muller scored the first goal in the 53rd minute to return Leon Goritska and resolve the match with a second goal in injury time.
Bayern raised its score to 55 points, four ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, and Augsburg remained in 14th place with 27 points.
