What a crazy game.
Dorfen / Schongau– In a thrilling thriller, ESC Dorfen lost on Sunday evening in the second playdown game at EA Schongau after extra time with 7: 8 (0: 2, 5: 2, 2: 3; 0: 1) goals. It is now 1: 1 in the best-of-five series.
While the ice pirates once again came with personnel worries, the injured strikers Timo Bormann (shoulder) and Alexander Voglhuber (knee) were missing, the mammoths were able to increase the number of attackers by three attackers compared to the Friday game. After Tomas Vrba completed a power play to 2: 3 (34th), a jolt went through the rows of the ESC. With irresistible solo from his own third, Miculka gave the EA goalkeeper no chance at 3: 3 (35.). The mammoths used the next overtime game for 4: 3 by Tobias Turner (36.), but, unaffected by it, ESC captain Andreas Attenberger initially scored 4: 4 (36.), and Vrba brought the ice pirates in 5: 4 for the first time Front (39th).
The open exchange of blows and scoring continued in the final round. The hosts first turned the game 6: 5 through Holzmann (43,) and Sutter (45,).
