2020-03-10T21:07:24.702Z

With the ban on the gathering of more than 1,000 people and the spread of football behind closed doors, many sport events

Some 450 sports events are impacted and nearly 2 million spectators nationwide are affected by the restrictions imposed until April 15 by the development of the coronavirus epidemic, said on Tuesday Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu. Here is the inventory of the various competitions scheduled until mid-April.

The general closed door in football

After PSG - Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, it's the next four days of the L1 and L2 championship to take place behind closed doors. This was announced by the Professional Football League (LFP) on Tuesday. This therefore concerns the 29th (March 13, 14, 15), the 30 (March 20, 21 and 22) including OM - PSG, the 31 (April 4 and 5) and the 32nd day (April 11).

The LFP should also announce the postponement of the last final of the League Cup between PSG and Lyon, scheduled for April 4. The question will come later on the offices of the FFF concerning the most distant final of the Coupe de France between PSG in Saint-Etienne on April 25.

Finally, the two preparation matches for Euro 2020 of the French team which must both be held at the Stade de France on March 27 against Ukraine and March 31 against Finland will also be played behind closed doors.

Rugby in the expectation

If the France - Ireland match of the Six Nations Tournament is postponed until next fall (the date is not yet fixed), nothing has been decided for the Top 14. The championship has three days until April 15 , namely the 18th day (March 21 and 22), the 19th day (March 28 and 29) and the 20th day (April 11). However, the presidents of Top 14 clubs are worried. Some even suggest a postponement of the end of the championship by two months in order to be able to save the revenue from the matches. A solution that would mitigate the deadweight loss, like the 4 million euros mentioned by Toulouse.

Handball trembles for Olympic Qualification Tournament

Obliged to go through an Olympic qualification tournament, the French team added a date after its calamitous Euro in January. The meeting is scheduled from April 17 to 19 at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris. A week ago, the organizers announced that they were following government recommendations, namely to limit the number of spectators to 5,000. Since the decrease to 1,000 on Monday, no official position has been put forward.

Concerning the Starligue which has four days planned (March 18, March 25-26, April 1-2 and April 8-9), the closed door should be generalized. Just like the 8th finals of the Champions League of Montpellier or PSG whose returns are scheduled in France on March 28 and 29.

Finally, the Final Four of the Coupe de la Ligue, which takes place at Le Mans on Friday and Saturday, will be held in private (limited to 1,000 spectators). Access to the event will be reserved for representatives of the 4 qualified clubs, local authorities, local media, representatives of amateur handball clubs in the Sarthe, economic partners, and finally to the first fans who, as soon as the ticket office opens, had reserved their places.

The Final Four of volleyball postponed

The Final Four of the Coupe de France, which was to take place Friday and Saturday in Toulouse (for boys) and Cannes (for girls), has been postponed. The French federation has offered to reschedule the competition for the weekend of May 16 and 17. In Tours, the president, Yves Bouget, is campaigning for the temporary freezing of Ligue A, two days of which are planned for March 20-21 and March 28 for the last day of the regular season.
