PSG-Dortmund: the ultras will display banners in the stands of the Park

According to our information, the Collectif Ultras Paris, deprived of the Champions League match this Wednesday (9 p.m.), will set up more

The coronavirus and the measures imposed by the authorities deprive the PSG ultras of the most awaited match of the season so far: the Champions League 8th final second leg against Dortmund. The ultra Parisians, who confirmed on Monday their desire to gather around the Parc des Princes, advanced this Tuesday on several initiatives to support the team, despite the empty stands. An organizational meeting with the PSG took place in the morning in particular to define possible actions compatible with preventive measures against the epidemic.

According to our information, the club authorized the Collective Ultras Paris to disseminate banners of encouragement intended for the team in the spans of the Parc des Princes. These are different from the tifo which was planned for the meeting and will be specially made. Their content should be positive rather than contested, even if the UPC and most of its members had a hard time with the decision to contest the meeting behind closed doors.

Request for a gathering in front of the Park

The CUP also made a request to assemble in front of the Parc des Princes, on the Auteuil turn, as L'Équipe revealed. An initiative confirmed by the police headquarters, which will deploy "an adapted device". It remains to be seen the extent and the practical modalities of this regrouping, which will have to respect the general prohibition of gathering of more than 1000 people, by limiting the access or by constituting several distinct groups.

The possibility of installing a giant screen, demanded by some supporters, remains very uncertain. The club wishes to help its supporters but also to comply with the instructions of the authorities. The UPC should communicate to its members a course of action to follow, after having asked them to ignore calls from other channels on social networks.
