The SC Weßling experienced an ups and downs in preparation. Trainer Schober complains that many are injured. New signing Hauck could become essential for the second half of the season.
The performances of his team in the preparation have not yet convinced Florian Schober. The soccer coach of SC Weßling saw a sparkling clean 8-0 win over Perchting, but also two solid defeats against Bosna (3: 7) and Adelshofen (0: 5); plus the recent 3-1 win in Höhenrain. "It's been a tough affair so far," is the interim conclusion of the trainer.
Numerous failures slow SC Weßling down again and again
The fact that it does not want to slide properly yet is due to the numerous failures that the coach currently has to complain about. Robin Wächter is suffering from an inflammation of the pubis. When the midfielder returns to the squad is uncertain. Reza Cifuentes Guzman will also be out longer after injuring his meniscus. In addition, Daniel Gebreslasje is professionally tied to the weekends for the rest of the second half of the season and presumably does not play a game for third in the district class 1. Schober also has to do without Christian Steffen first. He is still blocked for two games. When Felix Hegetusch is fully operational again is also questionable. The attacker spent almost the entire preparation on vacation. "We played almost every game in a different line-up," complains Schober.
New signing Oliver Hauck gives hope
As in summer, when the preparation was extremely unsatisfactory due to the shortage of time, things do not run smoothly in winter either. The coach has not yet been able to install mechanisms in his team. Only Oliver Hauck gives hope to the coach at the moment. The newcomer previously kicked at regional league team VfR Garching before taking a break from football two years ago because of his job. "He can become a key player," said Schober about the 27-year-old.
Hauck alone will not be enough to tackle the two ascent spots. Leader VSST Günzlhofen has long been out of reach with 41 points. The second, TSV Geiselbullach (35) is within striking distance. However, the SCW has to catch up five points on the rivals in the remaining twelve games. "I don't dare to predict whether second place is still feasible," says Schober. In view of numerous personnel problems, he believes it is realistic to secure third place. "If we could keep that, it would be a great achievement," he clarifies. This position will primarily be contested by the 1st SC Gröbenzell (28), the TSV Gilching II (28), the SC Olching II (27) and the Gautinger SC (25) for his team.
Coming top game
The first game after the break takes Weßling straight to Günzlhofen. "This is a highlight," says Schober, looking at the comparison with the leaders. After the preparation, it is really impossible to predict whether his team will be prepared for this.
