Bremen (AP) - The Bremen senator apparently wants to cancel the Bundesliga game between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen, which is planned for Monday evening. This is what Radion Bremen reports on the website of its program "Buten und Binnen".
There is currently no official confirmation of this from either the Interior Authority or Werder Bremen. But according to the report, interior senator Ulrich Mäurer (SPD) fears that more than 1000 fans will gather on Monday evening in front of the empty stadium and thus scenes like the ghost games between Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1. FC Köln and Paris Saint-Germain against Borussia Repeat Dortmund.
Because of the spread of the corona virus, the game between Werder and Leverkusen should be played without spectators. Bremen and other federal states currently prohibit events with more than 1,000 people.
